So we have just come back from our week holiday in South of France where we went to attend our friends wedding. By following #maxandcarole you can see more photos taken by other guests too. The wedding took place in a beautiful location of L’Abbaye Chateau de Camon. It is an old Benedictine monastery dating from 11th century. Before we headed to the castle, we flew into Amsterdam for a night and then spent some time camping in Agde, where we went 3 years ago.
It is very convenient to fly from LCY for us as we are literally one stop away from the airport. Our night in Amsterdam was celebrated in style, ie lots of kebabs and fries were consumed :)
Night Amsterdam is beautiful:
The next day we went for a stroll before going to the airport and flying to Toulouse.
And then we got to Toulouse and immediately started enjoying French food:
Toulouse is nice but a bit quiet, not much happening at nights
We had a bit of a drink
And the next day took the train to Agde
Agde citizens (look up!)
And the 8,5 km walk to Grau d’Agde
And here it is – the Med sea
I had a bike accident – fell off and grazed my knee
While walking in the streets of Agde, we met a wonderful lady who put a bandage on my graze
We have met a wonderful gorgeous person here, she lives in Paris but comes to agde every summer to work in this place. The 2 arches you can see here are from 16 and 14 cc respectively from left to right. We spent hours drinking, eating and talking. She loved @danfoxartist paintings and gave advice about a gallery that would be happy to exhibit them in south of France. And I gave her the London you never knew book which I had for more than 5 years (it's a long story)… #hairytrevfrance
And then we took the train to Toulouse and then Pamiers
This is a more or less healed knee
Toulouse was rainy
However Pamiers was warmer
Then Ben saw a guy who was doing tai chi in the street and looked like a vagrant. So he grabbed a couple of beers and watermelon (don't ask) and gave that to him. The dude turned out to be a very interesting companion. We got the same bus to Mirepoix and he told us about the festivals, puppet dolls and musical instruments and they had a really good chat while I was napping. #hairytrevfrance
And Mirepoix was just great!
stayed in a gorgeous room in the castle
Thank God, my dress was long enough to hide the wound :)
